Form of Vocational Tower Program, Polmed holds Coordination Meeting with Partners

Medan State Polytechnic once again held a Coordination Meeting between Vocational Education and industry players to realize the goals of the Vocational Tower Program, Tuesday (16/11) at Hotel Le Polonia Medan.

This activity is an effort to increase the synergy between Vocational Education and industry. Through this vocational tower program, it is hoped that the industrial world, the business world and the world of work will be able to absorb Vocational Education Graduates, and Polmed will be able to produce quality human resources with the best competencies and meet industry standards.

In his remarks, Deputy Director I of Medan State Polytechnic, Dr. Roslina, M.I.T., expressed her gratitude to industry and vocational education players who are very enthusiastic about supporting the vocational tower program which will jointly build and strengthen the regional economy.

This coordination meeting was also attended by the North Sumatran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Head of the Vocational School of the North Sumatra Province Education Office, the Implementing Agency for the Lake Toba Authority, the North Sumatra Course and Training Institute, the Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia Polytechnic, PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III, IV, PT. Pacific Medan Industri, PT. Domas, PT. alliance, PT. Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia, ASPPI, ITMA and industries located in North Sumatra as well as the Heads of SMK both public and private in North Sumatra.

Through this coordination meeting which was also conducted offline and online, Deputy Director IV of Medan State Polytechnic, Ing. Heru Pranoto, S.T., also said that the Medan State Polytechnic does not only establish cooperation between Polmed and industry, but also becomes a bridge or forum for SMKs and industry players to collaborate.

Head of Division. The Vocational School of the Education Office of North Sumatra, Ichsanul Arifin Siregar, S.STP., also expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the Vocational Tower Program as well as answering concerns so far because the unemployment rate from SMK is higher.
