ACADEMIC SENATE
The institution that formulates and monitors the general policy outline in the Polytechnic is the Senate as referred to in the Decree of the Minister of National Education No. 130/O/2002 concerning the Organization and Work Procedure of the Medan State Polytechnic. The Senate consists of representatives from institutions and groups of lecturers, led by a Chair of the Senate with the assistance of a Senate Secretary.
