Workshop on Learning Innovation and Lecturer Creativity to Create Young Entrepreneurial Character Polmed

Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Gajah Mada Room at Swiss-Belinn Hotel Medan, Medan State Polytechnic has held a Learning Workshop with the theme “Innovation and Creativity of Lecturers to Create the Character of Young Polmed Entrepreneurs”. This activity is carried out as one of a series of activities of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Strengthening Program for Vocational Education Providers (PTPPV) for 2021 through the Directorate of Partnership and Alignment of Business and Industry (DUDI), Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research , and Higher Education Technology (Kemendikbudristekdikti) which has been obtained by the Medan State Polytechnic together with 22 (twenty two) other Vocational Universities from various regions in Indonesia.

This learning workshop was attended by Deputy Director 1 for Academic Affairs, Dr. Roslina, M.IT., Deputy Director 2 for General Affairs and Finance, Rikhwan E.S Manik, S.E., M.E., Deputy Director 3 for Student Affairs, Delisma Siregar, S.T., M.T., Deputy Director 4 for Cooperation, Ing. Heru Pranoto, S.T., Chief Executive of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Strengthening Program, Marlya Fatira, AK, S.E., M.Sc., who also acts as Chair of the UPT. Services and Production of the Medan State Polytechnic, the entire Polmed Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Strengthening Team, along with the Entrepreneurship Course Lecturers and student entrepreneurship program supervisors (PMW) in each Study Program at the Medan State Polytechnic who attended both offline and online which amounted to less more than 50 (fifty) people. This activity was also attended by alumni of the Medan State Polytechnic who have succeeded in entrepreneurship, namely the CEO of PT Melek Energi, Mr. Yusrizal Fahlevi, and the CEO of Maggots Cultivation, Mr. Joko Susilo, Amd.

The event was opened by Deputy Director 4 for Cooperation, Mr. Ing. Heru Pranoto, S.T. In his opening remarks he said that the presence of this entrepreneurial ecosystem strengthening program would later be able to produce young entrepreneurs who care about the environment both within the Medan State Polytechnic and Partners.

The target of the Learning workshop for lecturers with the theme “innovation and creativity of lecturers to create the character of young Polmed entrepreneurs” is the establishment of a common perception of how to teach Entrepreneurship courses for all Study Programs at the Medan State Polytechnic in the form of Semester Learning Plans (RPS). Entrepreneurship course. In this activity, the speakers who attended came from Mitras DUDI, the Directorate General of Vocational Studies, namely Prof. Heddy Rohandi Agah, M.Eng., Eko Wahyu Hidayat, SE, S.Si., MM, who is the Operations Manager of PT Vita Mandiri Jaya (Franchise Dunkin Donuts Sumatra Region), and Yusman, MA, who is the Head of the Bussiness Association. At the end of this event was closed by Deputy Director 2, Mr. Rikhwan ES Manik, SE, ME, who is also one of the Lecturers of Entrepreneurship Courses, he hopes that by producing a joint RPS for Entrepreneurship courses in the Medan State Polytechnic, all lecturers are expected Entrepreneurship courses can work together to motivate Medan State Polytechnic students to become young entrepreneurs who are innovative, creative and care about the environment.
